A 1976 article in the Chronicle on the subject of the Eton Collections and the Brewhouse Gallery at Eton (which no longer survives) includes:
'the Chronicle review of "Treasures" suggested that some modern art might be acquired. One way in which this could be done while still maintaining the emphasis on Etoniana, would be to buy some of Mr. Baldwin's works. He is one of the only two Eton art masters to have had their work displayed at a national exhibition, and if his art is good enough for the Victorian and Albert Museum it would surely not disgrace the Brewhouse Gallery.'
