East window comprising six lights of coloured and stained glass, depicting eight New Testament subjects, in polychrome with a grisaille glass ground, the scenes enclosed by stem, fruit and foliage designs; tracery lights above, which include three quatrefoil lights
In 1865, it was reported that at Eton, Messrs. O'Connor, of London, had just executed a stained-glass window for St John's Church, as a memorial of the Prince Consort and other founders of the edifice.

East window comprising six lights of coloured and stained glass; depicting eight New Testament subjects, (some scenes span two lights)., in polychrome with a grisaille glass ground. Scenes depicted enclosed by stem, fruit and foliage designs.
Tracery lights above include three quatrefoil lights.
The lower scenes are subjects from the Lord's Passion. The subjects depicted are (from left to right):
Lights 1a and 1b
upper scene: Christ appearing to Mary Magdalene
lower scene: The Procession to Calvary (Christ bearing the cross; weeping women following)
Lights 1c and 1d
upper scene: Christ appearing to St John, St Peter and the other disciples at the Sea of Galilee (Tiberias)
left hand side, lower scene: The Crucifixion
right hand side, lower scene: The Descent from the Cross
Lights 1e and 1f
upper scene: The holy women returning from the sepulchre
lower scene: The body of Christ is carried to the tomb (or sepulchre)
Tracery
The tracery lights together depict: The resurrection of the righteous. Images include: Christ the Redeemer in Heaven surrounded by an aureole of light and with outstretched arms, and figures of the righteous made perfect, ascending to Heaven, borne by angels.
