Small stained glass fragment in geometric pattern; green and brown when unlit.
Comments
'On the eve of Founder’s Day, 1940, a delayed-action bomb exploded in the foundations of the north end of Upper School. The blast shattered most of the chapel glass, except the west window over the organ and the south and south-west windows of the ante-chapel.'

Accompanying note by Donor's father, Simon Spencer: 'THIS FRAGMENT OF STAINED GLASS CAME / FROM ONE OF THE WINDOWS OF ETON COLLEGE / CHAPEL - DAMAGED BY BOMB BLAST AT THE / TIME OF THE FIRST LONDON BLITZ IN 1940-41. / MUCH OF THE GLASS WAS SOLD (!) TO U.S. SERVICE- / MEN WHEN THEY VISITED THE SCHOOL, AFTER / AMERICA ENTERED THE WAR IN 1942.'
