Artillery Company'; ‘Sword of Honour”; ‘The Honourable Artillery Company is the oldest regiment in the British Army, / Granted a Royal Charter by Henry VIII in 1537, / the Monarch has, by ancient tradition taken the appointment / of Captain-General and Colonel-in-Chief. / This continues today. / The Headquarters are at Armoury House in Finsbury Fields, / north of the Moor Gate. The only Regiment to be granted its / own Coat-of-Arms, it holds the privilege of marching through the / City of London with drum beating, Colours flying and bayonet fixed. / Many Old Boys fought with the Company in the Boer War, / The Great War and World War II.
