Schoolroom scene featuring the central figure of a schoolmaster, seated on a high-backed wooden chair, raised on a plinth, wearing a cap, long gown, black leather shoes, holding a book and a birch rod' the schoolmaster is flanked by two groups of boys (depicted on a smaller scale); above the scene are coats of arms and inscriptions
No record has been found within the College's accounts relating to the commissioning of this mural (or wall painting), perhaps indicating that this was a private commission by the then Head Master.
