In 1917, The Chronicle recorded:
'A collection of British and Colonial coins and medals has been bequeathed to the Museum by Lt. Cuthbert Higgins, W. Yorkshire Regiment (d.w. 1 . 7 . 16)'. It is not clear whether these medals where part of that bequest.

Description
40 bronze medals with portrait on obverse and scene on reverse
With ink inscription on inside of lid '29-35. o " u o " z &C:'
Red and gilt leather and wooden 'book' box with swing hook clasps to secure (not complete). Padded silk interior, base inset with pale blue/green velvet with recess for each medal. Red and gilded leather numbers by each recess.
