This window was unveiled in July 1927 by Lieutenant-General Sir WIlliam Marshall, who suceeded General Maude in command of the Allied forces of the Mesopotamia Campaign (6 November 1914 to 14 November 1918). Maude died suddenly from cholera during the campaign, on 18 November 1917.

London, July 15.
A stained glass window, erected in Eton College Chapel in memory of Sir Stanley Maude, was unveiled to-day by Sir William Marshall. The window was dedicated by Dr. Jarvis. It was presented by General Maude's Army. Those present included Lady Maude, Miss Made, Lady Methuen, General MacMunn, General Methuen, and General Holdsworth. - Reuter.'
