'Mount ma. (F.H.R. [indicating that his House Master was Francis Hay Rawlins]) GEORGE TALBOT. 3rd son of W. G. M. of Wasing Place, nr. Reading; 1884(2)-1889(3); New Coll. Oxf.; B.A.; 2nd Cl. Mods. 1891; 3rd Cl. Lit. Hum. 1893; Assistant Master at Eton 1894-1900; died Sept. 28, 1900.'

Lettering on the banner which runs along the bottom of the design: ‘Mementote in Dūo Georgium Talbot Mount, qui abűt xxviii die mens: Septembris A.S.mdcccc.’ (Remember in the Second George Talbot Mount, who died on the 28th day of September A.S. [i.e. Year of the Saviour] 1900.)
