Physical description
Oak and mahogany longcase clock; with a broken scrolling pediment applied with brass roundels and a dentilled frieze, above a glazed hinged door flanked by demi-columns opening to reveal a polished steel circular dial with a circlet of Roman numerals, engraved with lettering; scrolling foliate sphinx and lambrequin spandrels, with striking movement, the shaped trunk door inlaid with a small marquetry vase of flowers and trailing foliage, opening to reveal two iron weights and brass pendulum, the fielded base with canted corners on bracket feet, the whole inlaid with fruitwood and ebony geometric banding on a later rectangular oak plinth
