Comments
An early twentieth century copy by Miss L. Pasley of William's 1833 wedding present to the Rev.H Jenkyns, an Eton school master. Such genre compositions were already being produced by Edmund Bristow. Hester's Shed was near Black Pots, and was a point of collection for the local eel industry. The young boy appears in his Fisherman's Hut, engraved by C.Fox, 1833, along with an older man-perhaps Jack Hall-who is shown weaving an eel basket.
