The view, framed by large trees on the right, is taken from a point upstream of the bridge. The Windsor Bridge, with its timber supports, looks fragile by today's standards.
Among the figures in the foreground is a stone mason at work on the bank. One of the bellcotes surmounting Lupton's Tower at Eton College can be seen above the buildings to the extreme left.
