Family Group at Englefield Green
Comments
The drawing shows what appears to be a Sandby family gathering under trees in parkland at Englefield Green. By the picnic table on the left a group of ladies seem to be engaged in stitching a long swathe of material; a woman holds an infant in the air, and three children with dogs play with a cart. Two men with umbrellas or parasols (one carrying a drawing case?) stand by a path or perhaps a river edge.
