This is a design for a seat cushion to be used in the sub-stalls of Eton College Chapel.
Elizabeth Andrewes was the niece of the Oxford ancient historian Anthony Andrewes. In 1954 she married Charles William Willink (born 1929), the son of wartime Minister of Health Henry Willink, QC. Charles served as an Assistant Master and House Master at Eton for 31 years. Elizabeth designed book illistrations, kneelers for Eton College Chapel and prints of her views of the college were published.
