Comments
Lower School is the original Eton schoolroom, completed in 1485 or before. It was in continuous use for teaching until the 1990s.
A view of Lower School by Nora Davison was sold by Sotheby's auction house in 2001. Davison and Spurrier could not have been painting these views at the same time as Davison's version seems to have been painted from the master's lectern, seen just right of centre in this view of the interior.
