Dear Provost, I came across the enclosed silhouette of Dr Keate a little while ago and am sending it for you to see in case you may care to hang it in the Gallery. I bought it about 10 yrs ago at a small shop in Cambridge. They had it from the Lodge at Magdaline after A.C. Benson's death.
I do not quite understand why the Archbishop should have been in possession of a portrait of Dr. Keate - as he was not himsself an Etonian.
I hope you may care to have it for the College: but if not of sufficient interest please send it back without hesitation.
Yours sincerely
