The sitters are: Lord Mulgrave, Lord Dundas, Lord Seaforth, Honourable Charles Greville, Charles Crowle Esq., Duke of Leeds, Sir Joseph Banks
Two original mezzotint engraved copper plates of two group portraits of the Dilettanti Society by Sir Joshua Reynolds were discovered by Edward Bayntun-Coward, an antiquarian bookseller, in a cache of other plates in the basement of his family bookshop in Bath. Bought by the Dilettanti Society, and impressions made for its members by the workshop of Thomas Ross & Co in Binfield, Berkshire in 2013.
