Comments
John Everett Millais was a member of the original Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood. He later offered help and advice to Old Etonian artist John Collier, some 20 years his junior. Collier became a follower of the Pre-Raphaelites and painted works in a Pre-Raphaelite style long after the original brotherhood had dissolved. Both artists painted a diverse range of subjects but frequently turned to the lucrative genre of portraiture.
