Coloured print showing an interior view of College Hall, Eton College
This lithograph is one of a series plates with accompanying descriptive texts, bound with string and paper wrapper. They are collectively titled 'Memorials of Eton College, Part II'.
Note that in this image, two tapestries are seen at the far end of the hall.
'The Hall used also to possess some tapestry, given by Adam Robyns, a Fellow, in 1613, and representing The Flight into Egypt, and Christ teaching in the Temple. These pieces only appeared once a year, at Election time, being kept at other times in the Brewhouse, where they were unfortunately burnt in 1875. They are to be seen in Radclyffe's picture of the Hall (1844).'
