This is Plate 4 (page 6) from 'Eton; painted by E.D. Brinton; described by Christopher Stone', A. & C. Black, London, 1909.
The artist, Edith Brinton, exhibited one example of the original watercolours for the illustrations at the Royal Academy in London, in 1894:
'[A] delightful bit of colouring is the "Schoolyard, Eton College" (1208), by Edith Brinton; the contrast between the gray [sic] stones of the chapel staircase on the right, and the warm red brick of the gateway-tower and the rest of the quadrangle, is most effectively though quietly brought out.'
'The Antiquary Among the Pictures', The Antiquary, June 1894, p.238
