Born in Slovakia, photographer Tereza Červeňová studied at Middlesex University (BA, 2014) and the Royal College of Art, London (MA, 2018). She won the John Kobal New Work Award and the Taylor Wessing Photographic Portrait Prize in 2015.
Now based in London, Červeňová has completed two commissions for series of Leaving Portraits for Eton College. The first was a series of eight portraits, made in 2018–19. The second commission was for six Leaving Portraits and also this portrait of Lord and Lady Waldegrave in Election Hall. All 14 of Červeňová's Leaving Portraits can be seen in the Charteris Rooms. This work will soon join the displays in the Blue Corridor.
