An image very similar to the head seen to the left in the work was illustrated in 'A History of Eton College (1440-1910)' by Sir H.C. Maxwell Lyte, 1911 (p.483) with the following footnote:
'From a drawing taken in school by Herbert Herries, lately in the possession of Mr. J. H. Patteson.'
