Oil on canvas. 36x30". Attribution unlikely. Cust p.42. Cust lists this as "Painter Uncertain", and there is no relevant entry in the Sitters Book. However Margaret Carpenter painted/drew several portraits of this family between 1841 and 1857. [See Coleridge list]. Not seen.
The sitter was a boy at Eton College from 1827 to 1830.
