Oil on canvas. 30x25". Attribution unlikely. Cust - "Painter Uncertain". Sitters Book: 1850 Mrs Walter £84.-.-. [M50009] The Sitters Book entry relates to a known portrait of Mrs Walter (probably the Eton sitter's first wife) exhibited at the Royal Academy in 1849. Margaret Carpenter may also have painted him in 1850. Not seen.
The sitter was a boy at Eton from 1828 to 1836.
