Half length portrait of a youn man, seated, slightly turned to the left; wearing a light grey coat, white waistcoat and cravat
Comments
The son of Charles Anderson-Pelham, 1st Baron Yarborough, who had also been sent to Eton. In 1803 he entered Parliament, remaining an M.P. until the death of his father in 1823. In 1837 he was made Baron Worsley and Earl of Yarborough by the administration of Lord Melbourne, with whom both his Eton and his Cambridge career had overlapped.
For many years he was Commodore of the Royal Yacht Squadron. He died on board his yacht, Kestrel, off Vigo in Portugal.
