Half-length oil portrait of a male figure with fair/blond hair; black jacket, black clerical shirt, white neck tie
This canvas was cut down in 1971. Part of the original painted canvas, which shows the artist's signature and the date of the work, has been cut out and stapled to the back of the stretcher. Also, a painted inscription on the back of the canvas is partially cut off by the stretcher. These things indicate that the portrait was once considerably larger, but for some reason it was cut down in the past.
