Description

Small sculpture based off a lamb shoulder bone

Comments

This began as a Sunday joint, the bone bitten into by Collie, our sheep-dog, and then shaped with plaster for casting in bronze; the foundryman was Terry Davies, the Welsh International full-back.
The theft of the Sunday join by Merchants’ dog Collie led to this sculpture. The use of a natural form (in this case a shoulder of lamb!) for sculpture is very much in the tradition of Henry Moore.
