Photograph album, the Quincentenary of Eton College: 1940 - 1944

Description
The album contains photos of Eton taken by an unknown boy at Provost, Lord Quickswood's suggestion for the Quincentenary of the College in 1940 - 1944. The album includes photographs of interiors and external Eton buildings, bomb damage, and general life and activities at the school at the start of the Second World War.
Inscriptions inside the album reads:
'Album 1. Volume of photos taken by a boy at Lord Quickswood's suggestion. 1940-41'
'These photographs were taken at my suggestion by a boy, and are intended to show what Eton looked like at the time of the Quincentenary, 1940 - 44. The plan was imperfectly carried out, but even as it is, is of some interest. November 1944. Quickswood, Provost.'
