Late 17th or early 18th century mid brown sprinkled calf; blind tooled double fillet border with second vertical line 2 centimetres from joint; blind stamped thistle ornaments at each corner; blind tooled double fillet on board edges; extensive repairs in late 20th or early 21st century, including new corners and rebacking in mid brown calf with blind tooled double fillet; red morocco spine label with gold tooled double fillet, dash roll and title; red sprinkled edges; fresh endpapers, signed R.L. Day.
