(Copy 2) Armorial bookplate with no name and ex dono label of Joseph Frederick Burrell, dated 1983, on front pastedown; armorial bookplate of Charles Gresley on first front flyleaf recto; bookplate of James Leonard Spong on first front flyleaf verso. Ms. note on second front flyleaf verso: "Ann Howe King given by Mr Izaak Walton May the 10th 1672". Facing ms. note (once a letter, including stamp): "Autograph of Izaak Walton. Dr King was Dean of Manchester and a friend of Sir Henry Wootton [sic] and Izaak Walton. Ann Howe King was probably his wife. Thanks [?] Lichfield. March 24th 1892.".
(Copy 1) 18th-century calf with blind tooled double fillet borders with floral accents in corners; blind tool roll border on board edge; rebacked spine and new end papers; 30 written on fore edge.
(Copy 2) ?17th-century Spanish calfskin over pasteboards. Covers decorated with double blind fillets to form a border with blind tools at the corners; gilt roll on boards edges. Spine with four sewing supports, decorated with blind fillets and ink titling over red label ("Reliquiæ Wottonianæ"). Textblock trimmed and marbled. Endpapers of undecorated laid paper; stubs between pastedown and facing flyleaves; two flyleaves at both ends of the textblock.
(Copy 1) Manuscript curatorial note on loose blue paper behind title page for The elements of architecture. Manuscript content note in 20th? century hand between page 92 - 93 of A survey of education.
(Copy 2) Typed telegram from 66, Lincoln's Inn Fields, addressed to James (presumably Spong) with no signatures on front flyleaf. Bookdeller's advertisement used as bookmark.
