36 lines, with revisions and deletions, beginning "Hactenus haud segnis Naturae araona retexi...", with autograph notes in English about human desires.
Manuscript offered in one of the original Gray sales in 1851, as part of the enormous lot of autograph MSS (including the Elegy), but was unsold. In a second sale in 1854 it was re-offered as part of a much smaller lot (lot 230) and sold. It then resurfaced in 1982 at Parke Bernet (6 April, lot 53).
