Typed letter from H.A.S. to Hallowes and Carter, 39, Bedford Row. regarding Chalcots Estate and London and North Western Railway. Response to letter of the 5th, H.A.S. had interview on the 11th with a representative from the London and North Western Railway, and has heard today from them confirming the arrangements made: that the company will remove all posters from the wall in Adelaide Road by the end of July, and after that date will fix two suitable boards, one on each end of the wall conveying an intimation that no bill posting can be permitted on the wall. H.A.S. believes this will meet their requirements, and will not be objectionable to the Lesees of the house opposite. Undoubtedly it would assist the company if the tenants of any of the houses would call the attention of the police should any unauthorised bill posting take place.
