Chalcots, Middlesex: Case regarding Steeles Mew South
Item
2 May 1916 - 6 May 1916
2 Items
Case to advise regarding Steeles Mew South, Steeles Road, Haverstock Hill, Chalcot Estate, and complaints that began to arise as to the conduct of children in Steeles Mew and the children of inhabitants of Steeles Mews North. The complaints regarding the children in Steeles Mews North have been satisfied by Mr Robinson, the College Lessee of the whole of the premises in that Mews, by getting rid of the objectionable families who resided there. However, the conduct of the children in Steeles Mews South continues, and whatever has been done has had no effect in doing away with the complaints of the residents in Steeles Road. Provides the other details of the case and requests that Mr Dighton Pollock advises the college on whether the College can deal with the problem.
Accompanied by a copy of the opinion from Dighton Pollock, dated 6 May 1916, which states that there is little the College can do to regarding Common Law or Statute to end the annoyance, and provides alternative actions to deal with the problem.
