Administrative / Biographical history
The Housing Society was set up in 1934 to enable the College to obtain grants for the improvement of their property in Eton Square. It also built cottages in other estates, notably Piddlehinton and Hullavington. Its main objective after that was to rent properties in Eton Square to tenants of the Eton College Housing Society Ltd. The lease on the properties, owned by Eton College, expired in 2007 and the Housing Society was dissolved.
