All stand for the processional hymn, the first reading is from the Gospel of Luke; the first candle of Advent is lit. Followed by a second reading from the Gospel of Matthew; the second Advent candle is lit. Third reading is from the Book of the Prophet Isaiah; the third candle of Advent is lit. The fourth reading is from the Gospel of Luke; the fourth and final Advent candle is lit. The service is accompanied by the choir singing various pieces.
