Membrane containing: 1.Grant by Adam de Port to the church of St Mary of Shirborn [Sherborne] and the monks there, in frankalmoin for his and his parents' and ancestors' souls, of tithes of corn and small tithes from his lordship of Sotwell, and one acre sown with corn, one sown with oats, one virgate of land in the same vill. Witnesses: Hugh de Port, Roger and Matthew de Scuriis and others. 2. Confirmation of grant by Thomas le Reve, Provost of Sotwell (French). 3. Grant by Robert Peche for the souls of his parents and ancestors and of [Odo de Barrio] of 6 acres of land, 1 acre of meadow and 1 messuage in Lolendonia (manor of Lollingdon, Cholsey, Berks.) viz 3 acres nearest the well of Aumwell and house near the same spring, 3 acres in West field outside (forinsecas) whose heads end at the great road and an acre of pasture at the well of Allewell in his demesne pasture. Witnesses: Robert the Deacon, Alardus of Schirburn, William Peche, Radulphus Vasthasa, Gervase and Gregory his sons, William, John and Geoffrey sons of Robert Francigene (Freeborn?), Rambaud de Sotwell, Peter de Chansey, Rad' de Estuna, James de Mattingel, Rad' son of Cloeth'. 4. Michael Prior of Sherborne confirms to John son of Richard de Chansey for his service, 6 acres of land and one of meadow in Lollindon which the monks had by the gift of Robert Peche, namely 3 acres in West field,3 acres near Amwell and an acre near the same well, and one acre of meadow at the well of Callewell for his service saving that due to Lord Roger, 4 silver shillings to be paid yearly and 20 silver shillings. Witnesses: Richard Knight, Walter Watmed, Nicholas the clerk, Radulphus the chamberlain and James the seneschal. Endorsed: terras in Sottewell et Amwell
