1. Thomas de Langeleye 2. Richard de Williamescote. Right which 1. has in William La Knyt de Nethercote and John de Overthrop [Overthorpe, co. Northants] and in 2 virgates of land which they hold from him in villeinage, together with their families (sequela), which serfs and virgates were released to him for a reasonable price and valuation as a free holding by virtue of a statute of merchant lately proclaimed by Henry La Mer in Nethercote and Overthrop. To be held as the statute merchant requires. Witnesses: Dominus John Le Lionus, knight, John de Wardynton, John Cozyn de Williamescote, Hugh atte Pyrie and others. Thursday after SS. Peter & Paul 18 Edward III (4th year as King of France; this should be 5th year)
