COLL LIV 10
COLL LIV 10
Mapledurham, Oxfordshire
Series
The reversion of this vicarage, formerly the property of the nuns of Clair-Ruissol, (a subordinate of Fontevraud) was granted to the College in 1441 by Henry VI. It seems that in practice the property had been taken into the king's hands in 1344; at the time of the grant by Henry VI it was held by John Iwardby and his wife Joan. It was regranted by Edward IV in 1462.
