Is attending a party for Baron Cuvier. Bishops of Chichester and Rochester have refused Bangor; Dr Philpotts hopes that Bristol will have it 'as he prefers that see with his present fat benefice to a residence in Wales'. Elections do not proceed favourably. The dismounted canons [of Windsor] are remounted; six received the King on Sunday. Chiefly indebted to the Bishop of London for this restoration.
