Will do all he can to secure his election to the Athenaeum, of which there is no doubt unless his evening coincides with 'a period of frenzy which is sometimes epidemic among the Athenians'. His son has been far from well since his return but is now better. Asks what steps have been taken to discover the range of temperature in College rooms heated by hot water; believes it may be too high.
