Content description
Dr Lightfoot suggested that an address of confidence in Dr Temple should be procured from other Head Masters and the writer thinks Goodford might agree. Does not know Goodford's views. He feels that a great injury would be done to the church if Dr Temple's position at Rugby were to be seriously compromised by a clamour which seems to him totally groundless. Has not heard of an attempt to remove him from office but his position should be justified by those whio have a right to do so. Hopes Goodford will pardon him writing. [Essays and Reviews].
