Content description
Saturday L.I. Acknowledges Greek verses from Goodford. Enjoyed his visit to Eton. Thinks the two best boys have been put first, although their respective specialities are modern languages and mathematics rather than scholarship at present. James pleased us by his intelligence and well informed mind, Hoare by reasoning power. First would make a [classical] scholar if he concentrates his mind a little, the second has found his line.
