Provost Goodford: Letter from Edward Craven Hawtrey, Provost
Item

Thinks Dr Vaughan does not wish Eton and Harrow boys and parents to have an opportunity of comparing notes on the spot. His arguments weak. He puts out of sight all but convivial excess. Cannot be sure who is caring for the boys in London. Believes the foundation of licentious life laid during the transits.
