Administrative / Biographical history

The Head Master of Roxbury Latin, a school in Massachussets founded in 1645 by John Eliot, was Tony Jarvis from 1974-2000. He and Eric Anderson met at the Harvard 350th celebrations when Anderson gave his talk on "Moral Education". Jarvis later served at Eton as supernumerary chaplain on two occasions, and the Hennessy Scholarship was set up at this time for a Roxbury Latin graduate to spend a year at Eton prior to college.
