Pleasure at joining in Founder's Day; recalls ancestors at Eton. Hopes his son will soon be home from prisoner-of-war camp and is glad he came home for Christmas 1940 even though he was then confined to barracks and fined. Hopes that his tutor's role in saving Eton from expansion of Slough will be recognised as a benefaction
