Content description
Has considered the problems of wall paintings; Head Master wishes that they should be left uncovered 'for reasons of illustration and teaching as well as grounds of general interest'. Will amend design. Warmer tints in glass will be required (letter incomplete). Provost replies that nobody would now propose covering them 'though some of us look back nostalgically to the days when the wall canopies ran right along each wall'; proposes insertion of Jasper Ridley's coat of arms into a window as a memorial
