Provenance

Apart from the series of accounts, most of the papers listed here were in a box marked Tithe Commissioners and Acts. Found separately were the six boxes which contain mainly twentieth century correspondence

Arrangement

The papers have been placed in this section rather than under finance because the administration of tithe was seen as part of the administration of the estates

Associated material

Material relating to tithe can also be found in the records of individual estates and of the Bursars, and there are many references in meetings of the Provost and fellows and their various sub-committees
