Religion at Eton. Majority of boys bored by official religion; given little religious instruction; atmosphere of insincerity - lack of interest by Masters in desk. In all other aspects of school life, great trouble taken. Lower Chapel disputes between Baker, Ley and Marten; rotation of clergy fatal. Need for a man whose one object in life is his religion; uncertain whether he would be any more successful than the existing clergy; does not know what to doPLACE: Oberland Hotel, Adelboden, Switzerland
