Public Instrument, reciting the declaration made on 28. Nov: 1433. in the precincts of the Priory of Cowyk next the city of Exeter, bu William Beuselin, to the effect that he has been admitted, canonically instituded and inducted to the Priory of Modury which he has peasefiully possessed and governed, and appealing to the Apostolic See and the Court of Canterbury for protection in the event, as he fears, of his possession being threatened, witnessed by Dompnis William Donnebant, Prior of Cowik, Peter Belamount and Nicholas Sterwill, monks of the same.
Statement, with his device, by John Polyng, clerk, of the diocese of Exeter, by Apostolic authority public notary, that he has had the above instrument drawn up, but it is not in his hand as he was occupied elsewhere.
