Piddlehinton, Dorset: Indenture of covenant concerning occupation of tenement

Indenture of Covenant between Margery Osmond, daughter of Thomas Osmond of Charlton Marshall, husbandman, on one part and Agnes Osmond, daughter of the same, on the other, who hold in reversion successively a tenement and dwelling-house in Charlton Marshall, now in the occupation of the said Thomas, whereby the said Margery promises that when the premises shall fall into her hands she will permit the said Agnes to occupy the following particulars, viz., the east end of the dwelling-house called the Kitchin lofted over to the entry and half the entry, and half the entry, the east end of the barne and all the stable adjoining, with liberty of ingress and regress, the east half of the orchard and garden next unto Thomas Lockett's orchard and the half in severalty of the Barton Roome in the back side of the tenement, with liberty or ingress, egress and regress, and 11 acres of arable in the common field of Charleton [exact lands described], and half an acre of meadow in the common meadow of Charlton, and common of pasture for 44 sheep in the downs and common fields, and common of pasture for 7 sheep in the common or marsh at such time as the said common or marsh shall be broken by the inhabitants of Charlton and the feeding and pasturing of 4 other beasts in the common fields meadows and marshes. Agnes promises to pay Margery 6s a year during the time that she enjoys the premises and the half of all duties or charges on the same.
