Content description
Indenture of release by Alice Drewe, widow, and Richard Greene, musician, of Stower Eastower, to the Provost and College of Eton of the Star Inn, Shaftesbury. Jane Drewe, late of Shaftesbury, and recovered the premises from William Warman, the elder, and later leased the same to the said Alice and Richard. The Provost and College have remitted to the same all arrears of rents.
Two seals, round 20mm, red wax, on doubled tags. The tags bear the signatures of Alice Drewe and Richard Greene. Apparently the same seal in each case, a lion passant.
